Innovation and Technology Development Division is currently seeking a Robotics Perception Software Engineer at its Pittsburgh Automation Center in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role you will work on the exciting and technically challenging Automation Systems Development team. This team is responsible for developing and demonstrating automation technologies, which are often used in conjunction with information systems, remote control, semi autonomous, and fully autonomous machine control systems. In this role you will focus on the development and application of perception technologies and systems.

- Very strong programming in C++
- ROS / MatLab
- Machine learning / deep learning
- MS in Robotics or Computer Vision
- 5+ years of experience
Technical Skills Additional:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Robotics, Mathematics or related field
* At least 2 years of experience with design, development, or programming of Perception Systems software for field robotics * At least 2 years of experience developing algorithms, embedded systems/software that integrates with Perception sensors (i.e. Lidar, Camera, Stereo Camera, Radar, etc)
Top Candidates will also have: * Experience in field robotic settings, implementing perception algorithms on advanced hardware platforms. * Experience with Machine Learning algorithms * Linux operating system experience * Experience in developing embedded computational platforms including hardware accelerated platforms such as FPGAs, GPUs, and real-time CPUs * Experience in Path Planning and/or Positioning systems * Experience with Matlab, C, C++ * Must have strong mathematics skills
* Excellent communication and networking skills * Strong problem solving skills * Must be highly motivated, self-starter
