Job Description:

We are seeking a Mechatronics Engineer for a very important client.


This a dynamic and growing division within the company and it is seeking exceptional Systems and Automation Engineers for positions in the Pasadena, CA or Boulder, CO office.

We are developing and building next-generation space automation capabilities for planetary exploration and on-orbit satellite servicing and repair. We are the only satellite manufacturer with the ability to leverage robotic technologies proven on the Mars landers and rovers. Work is varied but typically involves hardware/software development of aerospace and terrestrial robotic and small satellite systems for NASA, DARPA, and commercial customers. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to play a role on projects with significant impact on the future of the small sat and robotics industries.



The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:


While we are looking for someone with strong, hands-on software and avionics skills, the work is varied and applicants must also demonstrate interest/skills in a wide range of disciplines including small satellites, electromechanical, motors, motion control, robotics, mechanisms, sensors, data acquisition, testing, and mechanical design. Strong documentation, communications, and version control experience is also desired. We are looking for well rounded, creative individuals with experience solving unique and challenging problems.


Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Report to project engineers and team leads

·        Assist in delivery of robotic and avionics systems/subsystems

·        Design, development, assembly, integration, and test of terrestrial and flight hardware/software systems

·        Prepares and presents designs to internal teams

·        Documents design details, interfaces, test plans/procedures, and processes with an emphasis on good laboratory documentation and organization
